In 2019, Kier Highway’s Executive Management team set NEBOSH Alumni member James Bird a challenge. He was asked to design, coordinate and implement a human and organisational factors programme for the business. After two years of research and development, utilising insights from within Kier, high reliability organisations, academics, the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors and the HSE, James’ programme is now being rolled out. In this session, James and Dan will share useful insights and the impact the programme has had so far.
