With all of the drama that OnlyFans has recently created, leaving adult content creators out on a lurch because of their October 1st ban on adult content creation, Stephanie Matto heard the call and knew what needed to be done. The Melanated Way sat down with Stephanie, for this exclusive one-on-one interview to discuss her latest venture, her business savvy, to clear up some of the misconceptions about her and so much more!
Her new venture is called Unfiltrd and in response to the OnlyFans news, Stephanie said, “This is exactly why I developed my new platform." Her new venture will give adult content creators greater flexibility, the site will take less of a percentage of their sales and will have more diversity than other platforms.
The Instagram bio for Unfiltrd reads: “A new way to connect with your favorite creators. Launching August 28th 2021.”
This comes just in time for the OnlyFans ban. The subscription-based site will start to block explicit videos and other content starting in October. Stephanie was one of the most popular 90 Day Fiance stars on the platform. She made so much money from the site that it funded her lifestyle. However, she had a feeling that it would all come crashing down one day and she prepared for this day...and now it is here.
Since the news broke, Unfiltrd hit its max for the number of people needed for launch. But there will be a wait list for more creators to join after the soft launch on August 28, 2021. The site has announced some popular names that have joined Unfiltrd and it already seems like it is going to be a roaring success. Larissa Lima and Stephanie Davison, from 90 Day Fiance fame have signed on for the launch, as has Olivia Cara from YouTube fame.
Make sure to check out this interview and then head over to Unfiltrd to sign up for the soft launch!
*Update: As of August 25, 2021, the CEO of OnlyFans announced that they will no longer be banning adult content creators, in essence backtracking from the backlash it is receiving from the media. The announcement read "Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard. We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change. OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."
I think the damage has already been done. What do you you think?
