Located in a low-rise residential neighborhood, the Bangalore International Center (BIC) is a neutral, non-profit, public institution founded to enhance dialogue and foster ideas across cultures, religions, regions, societies, and economies.

A concrete frame runs along the eastern façade ordering the various program components, that include a 185-seat auditorium, two seminar rooms, an art gallery, a library, and a restaurant, with a flexible place for the congregation, smaller performances, art exhibitions, etc.

Principal Architects Sunitha Kondur and Bijoy Ramachandran, along with the Director of BIC, V. Ravichandar explain the design journey of this institution, right from the initial planning to the final structure where the public life is revealed and celebrated.
